Summary
The purpose of this Workshop would be to exchange information on potential development opportunities for international cooperation to implement the NWR 2020 Strategic Goals and EU BSR Agenda by joining forces and creating synergies both thematically and geographically.
Issues to be addressed:
1.Current state of Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the North West Federal Region of the Russian Federation until 2020 and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region
2. Expert view of continuation of work on perspective areas of cooperation between Russia and the EU in the Baltic
- Innovation/business
- Ecology, incl. agriculture
- Transport, incl. maritime safety
- Culture and Tourism
- People to People contacts (social/health/education/youth)
3. Instruments for joint efforts and implementation of joint projects in the framework of the strategies:
- Interreg Programme Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020
- Russia-EU CBC Programmes 2014-2020
- Northern Dimension Partnerships
