Regional strategies vary due to the emergence of new federal initiatives (industrial parks, industrial and innovative clusters, advanced area of socio-economic development, etc.) and updating the legislative framework. Success of regional strategies is largely dependent on the tools to ensure coordination of federal, regional, industrial and infrastructure projects, plans of large companies. Subjects of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the federal authorities and state-owned companies should look for holistic solutions in integrated development of specific areas. These solutions transform the system of strategic planning and link the regional initiatives with federal objectives. Within the round table with representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, JSC "Gazprom", JSC "Rosseti", regions (Tomsk region, Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Karelia) will be discussed examples of updating the regional strategic planning systems, enabling to promote economic development and implement the priorities of the state industrial policy.
